Find the exact massif and department for your route. Check the relevant prefecture’s current map and instructions, including the date they apply.
Recheck before departure and read signs at the site. A specific visitor site may have separate rules; its opening does not authorise access to the surrounding forest.
Do not enter a closed area or use flames. If access is forbidden, change your plan. In an emergency, call 112 and give your location.
